Negotiations Are About Compromises, There Is No Other Option: Harutyunyan
The head of the Prime Minister's office, Arayik Harutyunyan, stated in a briefing with journalists that negotiations are necessary in order to reach compromises and find an optimal solution.
“Negotiations are for compromises, there is no other option,” Harutyunyan said.
In response to a question about what Armenia is prepared to concede, the head of the Prime Minister's office said, “Compromises depend on the environment, on the agenda of the negotiations that exists; you can go into negotiations with the intention of making small compromises, but end up conceding a lot. People, what do you want from us, to present ourselves from a weak position?”
He assured that the authorities in Artsakh are informed about all ongoing processes. “I can tell our partners in Artsakh and the National Assembly to study reality a bit more,” Harutyunyan noted.
According to the head of the Prime Minister’s office, the issue of enclaves is not being discussed, as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also stated.
