Police Transport Stolen Horse to 'Plashchadka' in Aragatsotn, Group of Oshakan Residents Detained
On May 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Aragatsotn province. According to Shamshyan.com, a call was received at the Ararat police department from a resident of Artashavan village, who reported that an unknown person or persons had stolen a horse belonging to a resident of the Parpi community.
Officers from the criminal investigation unit of the Ararat police department quickly identified the circumstances of the case and detained two residents of Oshakan village, 41-year-old Norik Bakoian and 44-year-old Harutyun Koshchian, on suspicion of cattle theft.
The police also discovered a GAZ 33021 vehicle, in the back of which the stolen horse was loaded. It was further revealed that the theft had occurred from a mountain located in the administrative area of Artashavan community, and the victim informed the police that the horse was valued at 150,000 drams.
The vehicle was transported along with the horse to a special designated area of the Ararat police department, after which the horse was returned to its owner.
