Video: Floods and Landslides in Brazil Result in Fatalities
At least 35 people have died due to heavy rains and landslides in Brazil. Most of the victims and the injured are primarily from the states of Pernambuco and Alagoas.
The landslides triggered by the rainfall swept away urban neighborhoods situated on hills, forcing thousands of locals to flee their homes. According to the government of Pernambuco, at least 765 people have been compelled to leave their residences due to the threat of flooding.
This marks the fourth major flood in Brazil since the beginning of the year.
