Hyundai Collides with Donkey-Pulled Cart Named 'Zazo'; Cart Driver Hospitalized

On May 29, an emergency incident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. Around 12:30 PM, a collision took place on the 13th km section of the Alagyaz-Artik highway between a Hyundai vehicle driven by 55-year-old Gagik Nikoghosyan from Shirak province and a donkey-pulled cart operated by 60-year-old Agasi Vedetsyan from Aragatsotn province.

According to reports from the scene, the cart overturned due to the collision, while the Hyundai veered into the opposite lane and ended up in a field. The driver of the cart, A. Vedetsyan, was taken to the 'Aparan' medical center with bodily injuries. First responders from the 'Aragats' medical center provided initial assistance on-site before transferring him to the 'Aparan' medical center, and he was later taken by ambulance to one of the hospitals in Yerevan.

As a result of the collision, the donkey unfortunately died at the scene. Witnesses at the scene mentioned that the driver works as the head of the educational section at the 'Artik' penitentiary under the Ministry of Justice of Armenia. The donkey, known in the village as 'Zazo,' was reportedly a gift from the village head of Hnaberd. Upon learning about the incident, he stated, 'The important thing is that no one was hurt, and I am ready to give this family another 'Zazo' donkey through Zarzand without charge.'
