Germany Reduces Arms Deliveries to Ukraine to Minimum

Germany has not supplied Ukraine with any "noteworthy" weapons since the end of March, reports Die Welt, referencing documents it has obtained. According to the publication, only two shipments of weapons have been sent from Germany to Ukraine between March 30 and May 26, and these were minor pieces of equipment.

Such shipments included 3,000 anti-tank mines and an additional 1,600 specialized anti-tank shells. The German Ministry of Defence has declined to comment on this information.

The delivery of 100 Marder-type tanks and 88 Leopard 1-type tanks promised to Ukraine has not yet been determined by the Federal Security Council, according to the source. This issue has been under consideration for the past five weeks.

Moreover, Gepard tanks cannot be supplied yet either, as Ukrainian military personnel still need to be trained to operate them. The publication notes that the training for the first 45 servicemen is scheduled to begin on June 13 and conclude on July 22.
