Ukraine may lose its statehood, Yanukovych warns

Ukraine may face the loss of its statehood due to the current political policies in Kyiv, stated former President Viktor Yanukovych. His appeal was published on Facebook by his representative, Yuri Kirasyir.

According to Yanukovych, Ukraine's statehood is "at risk of complete destruction, and it is not just about the risks of losing vast territories in the south and east of the country."

The former president suggested that the Kyiv regime may have no choice but to merge with Poland, as the state of Ukraine's economy would not allow it to defend its independence.

Yanukovych noted that joining Poland would be the result of realizing a European dream, which the Ukrainian people supposedly fought for during its last Maidan protests.

Discussing relations with Russia, the politician expressed the opinion that Kyiv should negotiate with Moscow.

Moreover, he believes that Western countries and the US will push Ukraine towards this direction.
