VIDEO: Taxi Driver Steals Tourist's Wallet in Tsaghkadzor

The Police of Armenia reports that on May 23, a wallet was stolen from a tourist in the city of Hrazdan. The victim had called 1-02 from a supermarket. Officers from the Hrazdan division, along with detectives, responded to the scene.

It was revealed that the foreign man had noticed the theft of his wallet, which contained 135,000 AMD, while shopping at one of the supermarkets in Tsaghkadzor. Through swift actions, police obtained operational data indicating that the wallet had been taken by a 52-year-old resident of Hrazdan. The suspect was a taxi driver who committed the theft while transporting a passenger.

Subsequent efforts led the suspect to present himself at the Hrazdan police department, where he provided a confession. The stolen wallet has been recovered. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
