Major Fire in Shirak Province: Large Number of Firefighters Arrive

On May 25, a major fire broke out in Shirak Province. At approximately 2:30 AM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call at the 911 crisis management center reporting that a fire had ignited on the roof of a house on 4th Street in the village of Garibjanyan.

According to Shamshyan.com, preliminary information indicates that fortunately, there were no casualties. It has been determined that the roof consumed by the fire belonged to 33-year-old Pargev Harutyunyan, a resident of the same village.

Initial reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring.

According to the website, Pargev Harutyunyan is the head of the administration in the Garibjanyan community of the Akhuryan municipality and has suffered approximately 2 million drams in damages as a result of the fire. The Shirak Province Investigation Department is preparing materials regarding the incident.
