European Union Freezes Assets of Russian Central Bank Worth €23 Billion
The European Union has frozen the assets of the Russian Central Bank amounting to €23 billion. This was reported by Vesti, citing a statement from Didier Reynders, the European Commissioner for Justice.
He also noted that the assets of the Russian Federation frozen in the EU since the start of the special operation in Ukraine are negligible compared to those frozen by the United States.
Reynders added that EU countries have also frozen physical assets of Russian citizens worth approximately €10 billion, including yachts and villas.
