Driver Involved in Fatal Double Hit-and-Run Identified in Yerevan

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Arabkir Police, under the direction of Department Head Yervand Nikoyan, have carried out extensive operational and investigative measures to identify the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on May 16.

According to Shamshyan.com, the incident involved 40-year-oldarmen Shahbazyan, who struck 76-year-old Sedrak Mikayelyan from Kotayk Province on Kievyan Street near house 13 and subsequently fled the scene.

Arabkir police tracked down Shahbazyan and the Toyota vehicle he was driving shortly after the incident. The vehicle has been impounded by the Arabkir Police, and Shahbazyan has been presented to the Road Transport Crimes Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
