VIDEO: How Mine Clearance Operations Are Being Conducted on the Coast of the Azov Sea
The engineering units of the Russian Armed Forces are clearing the coast of the Azov Sea near the port of Mariupol. The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that the engineering works are being carried out by specialists from the International Mine Clearance Center.
Sappers have discovered unexploded shells and mines from recent battles and have detonated them on site. The "Uran-6" robotic mine clearance system is widely used in the process of neutralizing dangerous munitions.
It is noted that over 50 km of the coast of the Azov Sea has been surveyed, and more than 300 various munitions have been neutralized.
