Hungarian Prime Minister Declares State of Emergency Amid Ukraine Situation
The Hungarian Prime Minister has announced a state of emergency in the country in response to the situation in Ukraine, as reported by Bloomberg.
Orban stated that the emergency measures will come into effect at midnight and will provide the government with "flexibility and the ability to respond immediately" to the consequences of the situation in Ukraine.
He noted that the Hungarian government will announce measures under the state of emergency on Wednesday, May 25.
Previously, the Prime Minister had declared that Hungary would not join the economically unacceptable measures against Russia proposed by the European Union.
