At least eight people have died due to a powerful storm in Canada’s Ontario and Quebec provinces, according to Reuters. More than half a million people have been left without electricity.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated that the Canadian government is ready to assist the families of the deceased and all those affected by the storm.
Local authorities in Ontario and Quebec reported that most of the fatalities and serious injuries were caused by fallen trees.
