Law Enforcement Searches Arthur Vanetsyan's Assistant's Apartment, Who Helped the Homeless

The Criminal Investigation Department of the Police and the Investigative Committee are conducting a search at the apartment of Aram Grigoryan, the assistant to the former head of the NSS, head of the 'Homeland' party, and leader of the 'I Have Honor' parliamentary faction, Arthur Vanetsyan, as reported by aysor.am.

Lawyer Yervand Varosyan told reporters that the matter relates to a well-known video in which Aram Grigoryan distributed money to homeless people during the winter. He stated, 'They are searching for lists of participants in the gathering; it's ridiculous, but that's how it is,' said the lawyer.

Grigoryan himself does not understand why law enforcement is conducting a search of his apartment. 'You can always find those homeless people in different parts of the city, I've always helped them, giving them 500 or 1000 drams. I don't think that's a criminal act; they could have called the homeless, asked them,' Grigoryan told reporters.

It is worth noting that on April 23, several government-affiliated media outlets spread a video titled 'Vanetsyan's Assistant Aram Grigoryan Distributing Money to Participate in Protests.' However, it later became clear that the video was old and was filmed on Demirchyan Street when Grigoryan gave money to the homeless to help them.
