VIDEO: The Surge of Fake News About the Prime Minister Has Escalated Internationally, Says Secretary of the Security Council
The Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, considers the information spread by the Russian media stating that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appealed to the CSTO for the deployment of forces in Armenia to be a "surge of fake news."
“In general, the surge of fake news about the prime minister has recently escalated at the international level, and, naturally, this news is also false. They want to establish that Prime Minister Pashinyan has always relied on the will of the Armenian people in all domestic political matters, even during the serious crisis that emerged after November 9, he relied solely on the will of the people and saw the solution to the crisis within the framework of domestic institutional capacities,” Grigoryan stated during a conversation with reporters after the government meeting.
Regarding the current protests, the Secretary of the Security Council noted that the organizers of the protests have been exercising their right to hold demonstrations within the law for more than a month, and the Armenian police are overseeing these gatherings. “It is evident that the opposition-organized protests have not received public support. Naturally, we exclusively see the resolution of the protests through Armenia's domestic institutional means,” Grigoryan emphasized.
