Iranian Border Guards Shoot Azerbaijani National

Iranian border guards have killed an Azerbaijani citizen during an attempted border crossing. This was reported by the Azerbaijani APA agency.

“On May 16, the border agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that Azerbaijani citizen Musaev Mirjavad Mirjalal oglu was killed by Iranian border guards while attempting to cross the state border from Iran to Azerbaijan,” the report states.

In turn, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) noted that on May 18, Musaev's body was handed over to his family. It was highlighted that an inquiry has been sent to the Iranian side to investigate the incident and provide information on the results.
