In Light of the Situation in Ukraine, Which Country Will Host Eurovision?

Following Ukraine's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, the United Kingdom may have the opportunity to host the competition next year, considering the ongoing situation in Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian.

“Although the United Kingdom placed second, Ukraine's victory still gives Britain hope that the event could take place on its territory,” the publication stated.

It is noted that traditionally, the competition is held in the country that won the previous year; however, the European Broadcasting Union may consider the situation in Ukraine, and it is possible that the 2023 contest will be organized in one of the “Big Five” countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom), as they are always guaranteed a spot in the Eurovision final.
