Avetik Chalabyan Must Be Released Immediately: Tatoyan

The criminal prosecution and detention of Avetik Chalabyan have occurred based on a clearly provocative recording, the evidential significance and admissibility of which raise serious doubts. This was stated by former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.

"Moreover, he has been detained for two months for an act that is no longer punishable under the Criminal Code effective from July 1, 2022. Therefore, Avetik Chalabyan must be released immediately," Tatoyan wrote.
