A Rug Worth 2 Million Drams Purchased by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to lay a rug worth 2 million drams for the proper reception of delegations, reports 168.am.

The rug, purchased from the "Merkeryan Carpet" company for 2 million 90 thousand drams, is a handmade piece dating back to 2021 and belongs to the Pazyryk type.

It remains unclear why a handmade rug was deemed essential to lay under the feet of guests during such a complex and difficult time for the country's economy, and on what basis the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made such a representative expenditure.
