Turkey to Establish Forestry Training Center in Jabrayil

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, Veysel Tiryaki, and the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Etibar Mirzayev, have held discussions in Istanbul regarding a memorandum of cooperation on combating forest fires, as reported by Ermenihaber.

It has been announced that an agreement has been reached for Azerbaijan to assist Turkey with aircraft and helicopters in the fight against forest fires. The parties will also conduct joint training exercises in Turkey on firefighting topics in the near future.

Additionally, it was agreed that Turkey will establish a forestry training center and nursery in Jabrayil (formerly known as Jrarak) that has come under Azerbaijani control following the 44-day war.
