Russia Responds to Comparison of Country to 'Cancerous Tumor'
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, deemed the statement by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who compared the Russian world to a "cancerous tumor," as outrageous and unacceptable, as reported by TASS.
“This is absolutely an outrageous statement, furious and unacceptable,” Peskov told reporters on Friday in response to a request for comments on the Polish Prime Minister's statements.
“This is the quintessence of hatred towards Russians that has likely infected not only the entire political system and leadership of Poland but also, in many ways, Polish society itself, to our great sorrow,” the spokesperson for the Russian leader said.
Earlier, Morawiecki had written in a column for the Telegraph that the Russian world is considered a “cancerous tumor that poses a deadly threat to all of Europe,” adding that it should be “removed.”
