VIDEO: Participants of the ‘Resistance’ Movement Block Yerevan City Hall
Participants of the ‘Resistance’ movement, led by member Ishkhan Saghatelyan, have blocked the Yerevan City Hall building.
“Nikol has turned the city hall into the ‘store’ of the ruling party, firing people for their dissent and applying pressure. Now let them see what pressure truly is,” stated Saghatelyan.
There is a significant police presence near the main entrance of the city hall, and a scuffle has begun between the police and the protesters.
“We are not entering, but we are blocking all entrances,” Saghatelyan stated.
At this moment, police are trying to remove the participants from the entrance area.
It should be noted that a wave of protests erupted in Armenia following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement regarding Artsakh. On April 22, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction, announced the start of a street fight to remove Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team from power.
