Police Prevent Suicide Attempt of Young Man

On May 11, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:30, citizens noticed a young man had crossed the dangerous edge of the Kiev Bridge and was threatening to jump, reports shamshyan.com.

According to the source, the citizens informed the patrol officers of the 1st platoon of the 4th battalion of the Patrol Service of the Republic of Armenia's police, namely Haik Petrosyan and Hamazasp Lalayan.

The officers were able to approach the individual and, through effective negotiations, managed to bring him back from the dangerous edge of the bridge and subsequently escorted him to the Mashtots police station.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, where the identity of the individual attempting suicide and the circumstances of the event are being clarified.
