Search Operations for Missing Citizens in Lake Sevan Resumed
On May 8, search operations have resumed at Lake Sevan, with a response team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and two rescue units from the special water rescue squad dispatched to the scene. As of 08:00, the search operations have restarted.
It is worth noting that on May 6, at 18:16, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that two citizens had gone out on a boat from the coastal area between the villages of Vardenik and Zolakhar and had not returned.
A response team and a motorboat from the special water rescue squad were sent to the scene. However, the search efforts on that occasion were unsuccessful.
On May 7, at 07:33, another response team, including a unit from the special water rescue squad and a motorboat, returned to the area to resume search operations. Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions, the search was suspended again.
