Gagik Khachatryan's Lawyers Release Statement on Seizure of His Los Angeles Mansion

The Department of Justice of the United States has initiated the process of seizing a luxurious mansion in Los Angeles belonging to Gagik Khachatryan, the former head of the Armenian State Revenue Committee.

In this regard, the legal team representing the Khachatryans has issued a statement indicating that they will contest the legality of the restrictions imposed on their economic activities.

The statement reads: "On May 5th of this year, a lawsuit was filed in the Central District Court of California for the seizure of commercial real estate belonging to the Khachatryans in the Hombly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Khachatryan legal team has qualified this process as another instance of obstructing entrepreneurs' free economic activities, carried out without any substantiating evidence. The team has stated that there are all legal grounds to challenge the legality of the lawsuit in all courts established by law, and measures are already being taken in this direction.

It is notable that the Khachatryans have conducted several international transactions in the real estate development sector, and it should be emphasized that they have always complied with all legislative requirements. Public clarifications regarding these illegal and directed processes have been provided numerous times, and they are being contested before the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia for the establishment of justice.

The U.S. legal team is also set to provide a statement regarding the appeal process. The Khachatryans and the economic entities founded by them ensure sustainable business continuity, preventing any disruption of activities and damage to their reputation.
