Response Operations Have Silenced Azerbaijani Units' Fire, Armenian Ministry of Defense

On May 7, at approximately 1:50 PM, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units opened fire using various caliber firearms on the Armenian Defense Army combat positions located in the eastern direction of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, as well as towards the Sotk gold mine, reported the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

As a result of the actions taken by the Azerbaijani side, one of the mine employees sustained a gunshot wound. However, his life is not in danger.

“Response operations have silenced the fire from the Azerbaijani units. As of 4:30 PM, the situation at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is relatively stable,” the Armenian Ministry of Defense's statement reads.
