Throughout the border, Azerbaijan launched an attack, and Armenia was obliged to protect its borders and engage in that war. Now, there are continuous attempts to persuade the whole world that Aliyev is not at fault, and it was Pashinyan who provoked the war. This was stated by Lusine Badalyan, a member of the ruling faction, during a conversation with journalists.

“The Prime Minister did not provoke the war. He was the first person to say, ‘Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s it.’ For four years, while opposition circles blamed the government for dividing society into blacks and whites, and now they are distributing genetic analyses left and right, what do you think? If they win and come to power, will the entire society turn white? Are we the ones who have divided the society into blacks and whites? Do you see what is happening? Since 2018, I have condemned this division,” said Badalyan.

Commenting on the accusations directed at the current authorities, Badalyan stated, “Can you tell me what it means to surrender the homeland? We understood, there are casualties during wartime, I am very saddened and bow down before the memory of all the victims and their parents. I will spend my whole life trying to alleviate the pain of these people a little. I am not sure that after giving up the seven districts, Azerbaijan’s appetite would not have grown. Such questions can be discussed endlessly. When, on every occasion, you stand and call our compatriots Turks in an attempt to show patriotism, you increase Azerbaijan’s international complaints.”
