Tension in the Streets of Athens

Several participants of a protest in Athens, Yerevan have been detained, creating a tense situation. Demonstrations marked by resistance have continued on May 5 as announced by the opposition.

Since early morning, various streets in Yerevan have been blocked. Representatives of the opposition and supportive citizens have closed roads and carried out peaceful acts of defiance.

According to the Armenian police, as of now, a total of 49 individuals have been detained.
