Incidents and Violences May Occur Between Participants and Police: U.S. Embassy in Armenia Warns

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has issued a warning ahead of today's rally, noting that events that began in previous days will culminate in a rally scheduled for May 1 in Yerevan.

According to local media reports, a demonstration is planned for May 1 at 4:00 PM in Yerevan. Other protests leading up to the May 1 rally may also take place in Yerevan or other cities, including along major routes leading to the capital.

The embassy reminds U.S. citizens that large gatherings can be unpredictable. Incidents and violence between participants and police may occur without warning. U.S. citizens are advised to remain vigilant, follow local news sources for updates, avoid protests, and review personal security plans.
