Paris Will Help Kyiv Gather Evidence of War Crimes: Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has promised during a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, that Paris will continue to assist in gathering evidence of war crimes, reports BFMTV, citing the Élysée Palace, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Macron and Zelensky had their phone conversation on Saturday. As previously reported, the French President pledged to strengthen military support for Kyiv, specifically in the supply of defensive weapons as well as humanitarian aid.
According to the channel, Macron also assured Zelensky that the work of French experts assisting in the collection of evidence related to war crimes in Ukraine would be extended.
On April 11, a technical team from the French Ministry of the Interior arrived in Ukraine to assist Ukrainian experts in identifying and gathering evidence of war crimes. The team included two forensic experts and approximately 15 gendarmes.
