Video: Widespread Fires in Siberian Forests

Widespread fires continue to rage in the Siberian forests of Russia. The fire threatens nearby settlements, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency in the Kurgan region, with evacuations taking place in six villages.

According to Mash publication, a 67-year-old resident was found dead while trying to extinguish the fire in one of the villages.

A total of 350 rescuers and 100 units of equipment have been deployed to combat the fires. Soon, firefighters from neighboring regions will join them, contributing 66 firefighters and nine vehicles.
