Overview of Armenian-Georgian Relations: Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
There exists a high level of political dialogue between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahan Hunanyan, on his official Facebook page.
“In September of last year, an official visit by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took place, followed by a working visit in December. In October 2021, Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili visited Armenia on a working trip,” the spokesperson noted.
Meetings and interactions between the foreign ministries of the two countries occur on a regular basis. In September 2021, during a delegation led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Araarat Mirzoyan, who was in Georgia, had a meeting with Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani. Moreover, in March 2022, the Armenian Foreign Minister Araarat Mirzoyan made a working visit to Georgia,” the spokesperson added.
