U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Visits Baku
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Erika Olson will visit Azerbaijan. During her visit, Olson will meet with several officials and participate in the annual conference of regional mission leaders, scheduled for April 27-28 in Baku.
This information was shared by the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, adding that Ambassador Earl Litzenberger, U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy, Deputy Assistant Administrator for USAID Mark Simakovsky, Acting Coordinator for U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia Greg Naarden, and Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Andrew Schofer will also participate in the conference.
Such conferences of mission leaders are held regularly. In 2021, the conference was hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan. The U.S. embassies in Baku and Tbilisi hosted the conference in 2019 and 2018, respectively.
