Independent Ukraine Will Outlast Vladimir Putin, Says Blinken

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that a sovereign, independent Ukraine will endure far longer than Russian President Vladimir Putin following his visit to Kyiv on Monday. This was reported during a press conference held at an undisclosed location near the Polish-Ukrainian border, according to CNN.

“We don’t know how the remainder of this war will unfold, but we do know that a sovereign, independent Ukraine will last longer than Vladimir Putin. And our support for Ukraine will continue. It will continue until we see ultimate success,” Blinken said.

He noted that Russia has “failed in Ukraine,” while “Ukraine has succeeded.”

“Russia sought to take away sovereignty, to take away its (Ukraine’s) independence, and that has not succeeded,” Blinken added.
