Police Save the Life of 33-Year-Old Man in Yerevan

On April 23, the police patrol unit of Yerevan prevented a suicide attempt by a citizen. According to shamshyan.com, around 16:15, several citizens noticed a man who had crossed the dangerous edge of the Davtashen bridge and was threatening to jump off.

The citizens alerted the police patrol vehicle passing by, informing them of the situation. The patrol officers conveyed the information to their unit commander, Gor Arakelyan, after which they began negotiations with the man to prevent him from taking the extreme step.

After a while, the officers successfully managed to move the man away from the dangerous edge to a safe location. He was subsequently taken to the Mashtots Police Station, where further proceedings are underway. According to information from the site, the man was identified as 33-year-old Levon M., a resident of Yerevan, who disclosed that he attempted to take his own life due to personal issues.
