Video from the scene: Son-in-law accused of murder arrested

On April 22, at 00:15, the operational management center of the police received a report from the Armavir department indicating that shots had been fired on the road leading from the village of Nor Armavir to Nalbandyan. Preliminary reports suggested that one citizen had been taken to the hospital, while another lay on the ground.

An operational-investigative group dispatched to the scene determined that around 00:05, during a dispute in the yard of one of the houses in Nalbandyan village, the son-in-law of the house owner, a 44-year-old resident of the same village, had fired from a 12 mm caliber hunting rifle registered in his name at the homeowner, his wife, and their son. As a result, the homeowner, 68-year-old Edik Martirosyan, sustained head injuries and died, while his 40-year-old son and 71-year-old wife were taken to the hospital with bodily injuries.

The 44-year-old man presented himself at the Armavir police station along with the rifle containing six bullets. He was arrested. Relevant examinations have been commissioned. An investigation is underway.
