Video: Footage of Ukrainian Soldiers' Failed Attempt to Enter Azovstal Plant in Mariupol
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic has released footage of the failed attempt by Ukrainian soldiers to penetrate the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. It has been reported that on April 15, an operational-tactical unit of the DPR's Ministry of Internal Affairs thwarted the attempt by Ukrainian military personnel to break through from the port of Mariupol to the Azovstal plant.
Approximately 400 soldiers from the Ukrainian side participated in the effort, accompanied by 65 pieces of military equipment moving in a column toward the breakthrough.
As a result, 43 units of equipment were destroyed, and around 150 personnel were reported killed.
Close to 100 Ukrainian soldiers were unable to cross to the left bank of the Kalmius River and continue to resist on the right side.
