Macron to Discuss New Sanctions Against Russia with Biden and EU Partners

French President Emmanuel Macron intends to discuss new sanctions against Russia with his American counterpart Joe Biden and EU partners. He announced this during an interview with France 5.

“I plan to discuss the issue of sanctions with Biden and European leaders tomorrow afternoon. We will continue to apply pressure on Russia with sanctions,” he said.

As reported by Gazeta.ru, earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the association is still considering measures against the banking sector and the energy industry as part of the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia, which is currently being developed.
