Car Accident and Fire in Lori Region: Vehicle Exits Traffic Lane and Collides with Barrier

On April 18, a car accident and fire occurred in the Lori region. Around 04:00, a 29-year-old driver identified as A.K. lost control of his Nissan Tida, causing the vehicle to exit the traffic lane and collide with a concrete roadside barrier on the 7th kilometer of the Alaverdi-Vanadzor highway, in the territory of the Kobayr administrative district.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a fire broke out in the vehicle as a result of the accident. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze that had started in the vehicle. Fortunately, preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries.

The photojournalist notes that if it weren’t for the protective concrete barrier, the vehicle could have plunged several hundred meters down the cliff.

In connection with the incident, materials are being prepared by the Lori regional police department.
