16-Year-Old Stepbrother Stabs 4 and 7-Year-Old Sisters in Russia

On April 16, the body of a 4-year-old girl was discovered in one of the houses in the village of Nema, having been stabbed. A 7-year-old girl was also found injured from knife wounds, in an unconscious state. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to preliminary data, the children were stabbed by their 16-year-old stepbrother, who fled the scene. The law enforcement authorities succeeded in establishing that on April 16, the parents left their young daughters in the care of their stepbrother and went out of the house. When they returned home, they found the body of their 4-year-old daughter with knife injuries. The other daughter was found next to her, unconscious.

The parents immediately called for emergency medical assistance. Arriving doctors pronounced the younger daughter dead. The 7-year-old sister was hospitalized. Police have arrested the 16-year-old stepbrother, charging him with the murder of the minor girl. The teenager is currently being interrogated and is the main suspect in the case of the child’s murder.
