Fake Statements Disguised as Medvedev's Words Circulated
‘United Russia’ has announced the emergence of a fake website of a parliamentary group in the State Duma that published statements attributed to Dmitry Medvedev, claiming that the Russian Aerospace Forces are preparing to destroy Starlink satellites. This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
The faction has requested Roskomnadzor to block the website.
Earlier, fake statements appeared on the site purportedly from Medvedev, alleging that he claimed the Russian Aerospace Forces were set to destroy the Starlink satellite constellation, which they used to direct and adjust precise fire on the cruiser ‘Moskva’.
It is noted that the fake statement spread quickly through Ukrainian media, particularly with Gerashchenko publishing Medvedev’s remarks on their site just a few minutes after the site appeared, suggesting that the emergence of the website was a provocation organized with the involvement of the Ukrainian side.
It is recalled that this week, the Russian cruiser ‘Moskva’ sank in the Black Sea, which Forbes estimated to be worth about $750 million.
