"Our partners in Artsakh have not understood the content of the Prime Minister's speech well": Eduard Aghajanyan

"Our partners in Artsakh have not understood the content of the Prime Minister's speech well": Eduard Aghajanyan

There is no process behind the Armenian population of Artsakh, nor can there be; the main beneficiary of the ongoing process is the people of Artsakh themselves. This was stated by the ruling faction deputy Eduard Aghajanyan during a briefing with parliamentary factions.

Regarding the statement made by the Artsakh National Assembly yesterday, Aghajanyan noted: "I can only assume that our partners probably did not understand the content of the Prime Minister's speech well; otherwise, I cannot find any explanation for the basis of that statement. This entire process is aimed at protecting the rights of the Armenian population of Artsakh and ensuring their realization."

Commenting on the Prime Minister's statement that the priority issue must be considered from the perspective of the rights of the Armenian population of Artsakh and only then from the perspective of status, the deputy said: "The Republic of Armenia has always held this position. For Armenia, the Artsakh issue has never been a territorial dispute; it has been about the problem of ensuring the safe and secure living of the people of Artsakh in their homeland. Essentially, for us, the status has been a means of realizing these rights; there is no new information here," Aghajanyan said.
