Major Car Accident in Kotayk Region: Three Vehicles Collide

Today, on April 15, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 18:50, a collision took place among a Lexus, a Toyota Corolla, and a VAZ 2106 on the Chainyi curves of the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, one person has been taken to the hospital due to the accident.

The photojournalist also notes that the Toyota Corolla is registered with the Armenian Road Police, and the traffic officer had previously stopped the Lexus driver for violating road traffic rules.

Both the Lexus and the Toyota were stationary off the roadway when, at that moment, the VAZ 2106, moving towards Yerevan, collided with the Toyota. This caused the Toyota to inadvertently move forward and crash into the Lexus.

Materials are being prepared in the investigative department regarding the incident. Police and investigators are working to ascertain the identities of the drivers and the injured party.
