‘He is firmly kept’: Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs on Medvedchuk’s whereabouts
‘The People’s Deputy of Russia’s “Opposition Platform,” Viktor Medvedchuk, who was arrested by the Security Service of Ukraine, is firmly kept and will not go anywhere,’ stated Vadim Denisенко, an advisor to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, as reported by zn.ua.
One law enforcement officer noted that Medvedchuk had previously managed to escape because, shortly before the Russian invasion, a court order had been issued to remove his electronic monitoring bracelet.
Recall that Ivan Bakanov, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, reported that Medvedchuk was arrested in the Kyiv region. It was suggested that the special forces of the Security Service, which were opposed to the Operations and Technical Support Department, were supposed to transfer him abroad.
