Gas Prices Rise in Artsakh Following Recent Meeting

On April 15, the State Commission for Regulation of Public Services and Economic Competition of the Republic of Artsakh held a meeting chaired by Gevorg Grigoryan. According to Artsakhpress, the first item on the agenda was the review of the application for revising the natural gas tariffs sold to consumers by Artsakhgaz LLC.

The new tariffs set for natural gas sold to consumers by Artsakhgaz LLC are as follows: for monthly consumption up to 10,000 cubic meters, the price will be 143,700 drams per thousand cubic meters, an increase of 4.7 drams per cubic meter or 3.4%. For natural gas consumption exceeding 10,000 cubic meters, the price is set at the equivalent of 265.81 US dollars. The increase for each thousand cubic meters consumed is 3.9%.

For agricultural greenhouse businesses, the tariff set for natural gas during the period from November 1 to March 31 is 233.9 US dollars per thousand cubic meters, with an increase of 4.4%. From April 1 to October 31, the price remains at 143,700 drams for consumption up to 10,000 cubic meters, experiencing the same 4.7 drams increase. For the consumption exceeding 10,000 cubic meters during this period, the price also stands at 265.81 US dollars, with a 3.9% increase.

The price set for processing organizations in the agricultural sector is similarly 233.9 US dollars per thousand cubic meters, involving a 4.4% increase. These established tariffs will come into effect on May 16, 2022.

The second item on the agenda approved Artsakhgaz LLC's request for a change in the location of activities stipulated in the license for electricity generation at the Artsakhgaz thermal power station.

The third item confirmed the activity report for 2021.
