Tech Giants Block Russian Information Sources, Lavrov Says
Western internet platforms are systematically blocking Russian information sources, including limiting access to state bodies' accounts on social networks, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“We see how global, primarily American, internet platforms are systematically blocking Russian information resources worldwide. They are doing this openly and without shame. Recently, YouTube restricted access to the press conference of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and similar measures have since been applied to the State Duma's account,” Lavrov stated during a conference at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
He emphasized that Twitter is also implementing unjustified restrictions on the Ministry's publications, as reported by RIA Novosti.
