In the Şişli district of Istanbul, unknown individuals have painted a swastika on the door of an Armenian school. Many today view the swastika as a symbol of evil, associating it with fascism and nationalism. This was reported by Ohanes Kılıçdağı, a correspondent for the Armenian newspaper 'Agos' in Turkey, via his Twitter account.

Kılıçdağı also expressed concern that the Turkish education system does not teach the significance, seriousness, and history of this symbol. He stated, "For instance, the Armenian Genocide is a 'sensitive' topic, but even the history of the Holocaust is not taught properly."

It is noteworthy that this same school was subjected to an anti-Armenian attack in 2016, during which Turkish phrases were written on the school walls stating, "We will be in Karabakh one night by chance." This stems from the expression, "We could come one night by chance," which implies a threat. It is used by the Turkish "Gray Wolves" extremist nationalist organization as a ‘warning’ for an attack.
