Fiji Authorities Seize Russian Senator Suleyman Kerimov's Yacht
FBC reports that the authorities in Fiji have seized the yacht belonging to Russian senator Suleyman Kerimov. According to police, the yacht Amadea entered Fiji's exclusive economic zone without the permission of the authorities. The vessel has been detained, and law enforcement agencies have begun identifying the owner's identity and the registration port, as reported by lenta.ru.
"The yacht belongs to Russian Suleyman Kerimov," claims the broadcaster.
Under Fiji's current legislation, foreign vessels must obtain permission from several government agencies and departments to enter ports.
Earlier, it became known that authorities in Hamburg seized the 156-meter yacht Dilbar, valued at approximately $600 million, which, according to international media, belongs to Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov's sister, Gulbahor Ismailova, who is also under Western sanctions.
