Aliyev Makes Another False Statement Regarding Artsakh: Artak Beglaryan
Artsakh's Minister of State Artak Beglaryan has responded to the false statements made by the President of Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has made yet another false statement concerning Artsakh. Despite Aliyev's claims, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not been resolved and must first be addressed through the unconditional and unrestricted realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh.
In addition to having sufficient legal and historical grounds, the genocidal policy against Armenians and systemic anti-Armenianism by Azerbaijan provide further justification to assume that Artsakh can never be part of Azerbaijan under any status. The Armed Forces of Artsakh have never fired from Parukh and Karaglukh towards the Khachen reservoir and Akna (Aghdam); if Aliyev has evidence to the contrary, he should make it public. Meanwhile, just weeks before the capture of Parukh, Azerbaijan instigated by shelling peaceful settlements. The deliberate explosion of the gas pipeline followed by delays in its restoration is in no way an expression of goodwill,” Beglaryan stated.
