A Serious Process Has Begun Regarding the Optimization of Universities: 'Zhoghovurd'

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan has initiated a serious process concerning the optimization of universities. Moreover, according to our information, the optimization project is already prepared by the ministry to be sent to the government in a complete package.

In the first phase, the ministry has decided to merge the Institute of Cinema and Theatre with the Academy of Fine Arts. The new name for the merged university is already known; it will be called the 'Academy of Arts'. Reliable sources indicate that the ministry will do everything in collaboration with the government to ensure that the new academic year commences at the new university.

It is noteworthy that this process is significantly supported by Lilit Arzumanyan, the former rector of the Institute of Cinema and Theatre, who is now the deputy rector and fulfilling the duties of the rector.
